HAPPY CAMPER LETTERS

I will never forget the two wonderful summers I had at the Walking G Ranch Camp. I think about the ranch fondly and often and will always remember those as the happiest summers I have ever spent. You really have no idea what your camp and the Walking G experience gives to us kids who come. You and your camp are so special and I feel blessed to have been a part of it. It is a wonderful place to spend time at whether adult or a child. Such wholesome memories I have and I am sure that everyone see's their experience at the Walking G the same way. Please give Marga a big handful of grain for me!

I got home from camp mroe than two weeks ago, and I'm still sad about having to leave! On the drive back this year, I realized that I'd never really thanked you for making Walking G so great. I always feel like a different person when I leave because I change so much during camp. I'm already looking forward to next summer. But time goes by WAY to fast when I am at camp. The first night I was home I looked up at the sky and I couldn't see a single star. It made me sad because you can see zillions of stars out every night at the ranch! I miss you all and can't wait to be back next summer!

Much Love, Coco

Everywhere I turn something reminds me of the good times I had at the Walking G. Just yesterday I saw a goat that looked just like Dutchess and a barn that was practically a duplicate to Little Barn. Even though I only spend 2 out of 52 weeks of the year at the Walking G, I still feel like I am at home there! It tears me up inside to leave, even though I know I'll be back!

THANK YOU SO MUCH! I just wanted to let you know how much I really enjoyed coming to camp. IT WAS A BLAST! I really loved working on the farm and meeting the people, jumping off the giant rock at the lake, fishing, and horse back riding. Everything was so much fun! I can't wait to come back again next year!

Bye For Now! Kyle Phillips

WOW! I can't thank you enough for letting me have such a great summer at the Walking G! Thanks for letting me walk Snikers in the parade, it was soo much fun! Thank you for letting my friends and I sleep in Charm (we cleaned it too!) You are so lucky that you have all those beautiful horses and pretty spot to live. Hopefully my sister and I can come next year, and some of my friends might come too! It seems like just yesterday I was lying in the grass with the baby foals.

Sincerely, Taylor Echevarria

I am so anxious to come up to camp this summer! It will be my fourth year. I am most anxious to see you and all the other counselors. I can also not a wait to see Flash, I want to ride her so much! Right now! I am in school writing this because we are suppoused to write letters, and the first person I thought of was YOU! Tell everyone I say Hi and I miss them!

Your Anxious Camper - Mallory

Today I took a moment to remember some of the happier times in my life and I thought of your ranch. I was there in 1968. It was so long ago I can't even remember. It was alot simler then, or maybe life was simpler to me. I couldn't believe it when I found this site. I was thinking of Grandma, who did the cooking and the wonderful food. I remember your girls Heather and Heidi. And of course the 20 year old horse I rode, Oro. I even remember goat you couldn't turn your back on! I just wanted you to know I am so pleased you are still there and can give other kids some happiness just like what I remember! If I ever get back up there i would love to stop by to look around and remember some happy times. I am 45 years old now and a lot of water has passed under the bridge. But remembering that week there brought tears to my eyes and a smile to my face!

Thank You For Everything - Cathy

I think a lot about the last summer I spent there at the Walking G. The camp changed me. All my relatives and friends tell me that I matured and became an adult. I think this is because I got a great experience in the camp and met a lot of interesting people. I remember very well our talks about life. Now I have time to think of them a lot. Dave, you gave me so many valuable pieces of advice. You helped me to become mature. When I was in camp I thought that I would forget everything (like how to care for animals), but now I found that I remember how to take care of them all. I remember the day I fed the pigs with Kenny, his bucket was empty and mine was full, he tried to call them but they were to clever to be tricked. I don't know if I was dirtier then they were, but I know I will always have that memory to make me laugh! I tell everyone my stories from camp, and while some didn't seem too funny then, all my relatives, friends, coworkers and I crack up at them (the stories). Thank you so much for that summer and making life in your camp so exciting!

Yours Truly, Larisa

Oh my Hello! How is everything at the ranch? I decide to write to you because I know it must get lonely out on "the range". I wanted to ask you not to sell Rusty, the mustang pony. He will become such a good trail horse and I like him so much. It make take some elbow grease to train him, but like I learned at camp, life is all about the elbow grease! Thank you for having camp and letting me come. It means so much to me!
