OUR WEEKLY SCHEDULE

Monday - Tuesday - Wednesday

These are our normal days, which usually consist of the schedule above. But there is always something new and exciting going on. You never know what or where we'll be here at the Walking G!

Thursday's

Every Thursday we spend a full day enjoying water sports and games at Antelope Lake. Campers can choose from fun games on shore, conquering fears by jumping off jump off rock, bonsai tubing, etc!

An advanced bonsai tube ride . . . better hang on!            Jump off rock, you up for it?              Friends at the lake, friends at camp, friends forever!

Every Thursday evening, after the campers get back from the lake and have dinner,

we all hike to the Genesee Store for the very exciting once a week treat!

Each camper is given $2.00 to purchase any kind of treat they would like.

They learn quickly to put their money together to purchase something large for everyone to share. From there campers hike to a camp out location along the rivers edge where we sleep under the stars!

Enjoying their time at the Genesee Store!    Scary stories (for big campers) camp out, snuggle up!

Friday's

In the mornings the campers sleep in at the camp out. Brunch is brought at 10:00am. Around noon everyone packs up their things and hikes back to the ranch. When they return there is bunk house clean up time. Once bunks are clean everyone heads to the pool for a refreshing swim. Then it's down to the big lawn for nachos, watermelon and brownies. A choice of camp horse show, crafts, movies(selected), canoeing, paddle boating (both in the big pond), fishing off the dock, or just sitting under the shade tree and talking with friends rounds out our relaxing day.(Of course, sometimes the peace and quiet might be disrupted by a BIG water fight or shaving cream battle!) Friday evening may consist of a barn dance, skits or scary stories (for older campers) at the fire pit!

Ride That Wild Pony!                                             Shaving Cream Fun!                             Watch your back Soggy Bottom Boys!

Saturday's

These days are reserved for whatever we feel like doing. We do the unexpected from exploring old gold mines, visiting forest service look out towers(on the highest mountain tops), hiking along cold mountain streams and picking berries, or playing/ tubing in the snow! Maybe we'll get dressed up and visit an old ghost town, or take part in a rodeo, or have fun at a County Fair, or be in a parade!

The last Saturday is visiting time for family. Parents arrive after 4:00pm and get to enjoy a taste of the ranch life their kids have made home over the summer! Everyone gets to enjoy a cook out on the lawn and a program put together by the campers and staff!
